Maurie Kerrigan
Maurie Kerrigan (1951) is an American artist based in Pennsylvania, recognized for her modernist-leaning landscapes, genre scenes, and sculptures. Her work is characterized by a blend of poetic inventiveness and meticulous craftsmanship, utilizing mediums such as carved and painted wood, fresco, clay, and paper.
Kerrigan's art has been exhibited in several prestigious institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Morris Gallery of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Her pieces are also part of the permanent collections at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In addition to her exhibitions, Kerrigan has been recognized with MacDowell fellowships.
